Pugsly
Pugsly is a stuffed toy dog, one of a collection of such toys called "Beanie Babies". They have been popular in recent years among young children. Sue Fleming has a 7 year old nephew Taylor who lives in British Columbia. On a visit to Sue's home in Ottawa, his Pugsly got lost. Despite thorough searching, by the time he had to go back to BC, Pugsly was still missing. After his departure, Sue found Pugsly and decided, since she would be off to France for 3 weeks, she would bring Pugsly along. There would be photos of Pugsly in a sunflower field, having a glass of wine, visiting the Chateau Chambord, etc. As well, Pugsly would be writing a journal of his travels for Taylor to read upon Pugsly's return to BC after his French adventure. All was going well until Sully-sur-Loire when Pugsly disappeared again. Thorough searching failed to recover him so Sue decided to buy another small stuffed toy, a teddy bear which she named Sully. Her story to Taylor would be that Pugsly met Sully and they decided to do an exchange since Pugsly was enjoying his French experience and Sully had never been to Canada. So the Pugsly tour evolved into the Sully tour (with photos of Sully at the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, etc., and a continuation of the journal in a mixture of French and English by the not quite bilingual Sully.) At the time of this writing, I don't believe that Sully has yet made it out to BC and Taylor.
